How did Caitlin Armstrong go from a yoga teacher to a killer?

Caitlin Armstrong killed Moriah Wilson out of jealousy of her boyfriend Colin Strickland

The yoga instructor went through a major transformation after the murder of cyclist Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson in 2022.

The late athlete briefly dated Armstrong's boyfriend, fellow professional cyclist Colin Strickland

This sent Armstrong into a jealous rage and Moriah was shot and killed.

Armstrong went on the run to evade investigators and went under the knife, even trying to flee corrections officers on foot before her trial

This wild case was also fictionalized in the 2024 Lifetime movie, Yoga Teacher Killer: The Caitlin Armstrong Story.

: Born in the Midwest on November 21, 1987, Armstrong has a background in finance and was an avid traveler who became a certified yoga instructor in Indonesia

When she and Strickland met in 2019, she also became interested in cycling and competed in amateur-level races

"They had a pretty normal relationship. They would ride bikes together. You know, they would do fun things," Tolley said.

Strickland and Armstrong moved in with each other during the COVID-19 pandemic and even purchased a home together.

Tolley said their relationship was serious and they even started a trailer restoration business together, with Armstrong focusing on the business and Strickland handling labor and operations.
