Hollywood actor Will Smith is facing a serious legal challenge after violinist Brian King Joseph, a former America’s Got Talent finalist, filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment, grooming, retaliation, and wrongful termination related to Smith’s 2025 music tour.

According to the lawsuit, Joseph joined Smith’s Based on a True Story tour in early 2025 and claims the actor developed what he describes as an “inappropriate personal interest” in him. The complaint alleges that during a tour stop in Las Vegas in March 2025, Joseph returned to his hotel room—booked by Smith’s team—to find disturbing items and a note that he interpreted as sexually threatening. He reported the incident to hotel security, police, and tour management.

Joseph claims that instead of receiving support, he was blamed and dismissed from the tour within days, causing emotional distress and long-term trauma. He was soon replaced by another musician, according to court documents.

Just days before filing the lawsuit, Joseph posted a cryptic Instagram video encouraging people to speak up about misconduct, a move now seen as a prelude to the legal action.

Smith’s legal team has strongly denied all allegations, calling them false and reckless, and says the actor intends to fight the claims in court.
