The clothing retail giant “GAP” revealed its collaboration with Kanye West. This is the second collaboration of Gap with the popular Celeb Kanye. This collaboration will let the US customers buy the much-awaited hoodies. Kanye West Yeezy label hoodies will be available at $90 in the Gap stores. The hoodies are presently available per orders from its eagerly waiting US customers.
However, the hoodie’s been somewhat reimagined by the GAP stores with some edits from the original Kanye West hoodies. There’s a takeover on the home page along with Gap’s new blue logo. Which is reimagined to carry the letters XYZ in the Perfect hoodies with the Gap’s collaboration. The hoodie’s available on pre-order with more than six different colors of tops.
The shipping time for the pre-orders is between 2 to 8 weeks for its customers. In a much-awaited surprise, in not more than an hour most of the hoodies were sold out. The hoodies in all the adult sizes which included large and above were marked sold out. The demand was so high that within few hours of the launch Gap shares went high. The shares rose to as much as 6% during the Wednesday trading.
This is the second product of West under his Yeezy Gap line. The first product was the $200 recycled Nylon jacket announced as the debut product. This $200 round jacket was a sloped-shoulder puffer coat available in black and red color. The Gap and West collaboration’s first product came in June.

Moreover, West has signed a 10-year agreement with the Gap’s Yeezy line. Which even states that he will design and sell clothes for women, kids, and men. He last year signed the agreement for the Gap’s Yeezy line. The San Francisco-based retailer company, Gap signed this collaboration with some strategies. The Gap executive stated that they hope this collaboration with such a renowned rapper will help them.
This will help them become much more popular among the young shoppers. When Gap announced the collaboration with West the brand called him a creative visionary. And this line of clothing is poised to disrupt retails due to West’s popularity.
The tie-ups value of Gap and West could be worth even as high as $970 million. These estimates are according to the UBS Group AG under a private document. And this private document has been reviewed by Bloomberg in March of this year.
The Second product under this collaboration “The Perfect Hoddie” is made from 100% double layered cotton which has colors like Black and Blue. And since the announcement of the partnership West’s been wearing these hoodies.
Whereas, they are available in other colors as well, like red, purple, and mustard yellow. For the adults, the hoodies are available for a cost of $90, while for kids it is available for $70. However, the pre-orders it’s only available for US customers.
Kanye’s 10 years agreement with the Gap has marked a return to his roots. As he used to work as a retailer for a Chicago store as a teen. The Grammy winner has kept his promise to attract the younger generations. According to Gap’s CEO Sonia Syngal, the Yeezy Gap jacket became popular, especially among younger customers. The CEO Synal said in the August conference that We’ve now had 75 percent of the customers being new to the Gap brand. And We’ve got much younger customers due to West’s Yeezy Gap line.

However, West is now seen wearing all-black Balenciaga clothing and balaclavas. But, he’s still counting on his fans to show much more interest in wearing a wide array of colors at a much more affordable price point.
