The Fortnite metaverse seems to be joined by the world of Scadrial. Written by Brandon Sanderson, Scadrial belongs to the Mistborn book series. Sanderson teased the collaboration by retweeting the official Twitter account of Fortnite. What is actually coming to the game is unclear as of now.
Brandon Sanderson is among the most popular and prolific authors working in the genre at the moment, if you are not into a fantasy book, he is best known for fantasy while he has written in other genres as well.
The Mistborn series is the favorite among Sanderson’s fans and it currently has one shorter transition book in between the two separate sequels. The Stormlight Archive is another extremely popular fantasy of Sanderson which will stretch to 10 books eventually but has only released four so far.
MYSTERY RELATED TO FORTNITE
It seems that whatever is coming to the game is related to Mistborn, based on the first tease of Epic’s collaboration with the author on the Twitter account of Fortnite.
Along with a symbol at the top, the tweet has a shirt message that in the Mistborn world represents iron which is one of the metals used in Allomancy which is the metal-based magic system of the series.
Iron allows users in Allomancy to pull other metals to them which is something that would fit right into Fortnite.
Within one large universe called the cosmere, both Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive Series take place technically, along with many of the other works of Sanderson. Except the connections are rarely made explicit, it is almost like Sanderson’s own version of the metaverse of epic.

What all this crossover might include is also a mystery. There will also likely be a few cosmetic items included as well while it is possible that Epic could add some version of Allomancy of Mistborn to the game. It is possible the collaboration could be even bigger on top of that since they are a couple of weeks away from a Fortnite season beginning.
Available via the Item Shop complete with in-game artwork and accessories, Mistborn character Kelsier became a Fortnite character last night.
In the past, Fortnite has crossed over with dozens of popstars, comics, TV, and film characters, however, it is the first novel tie-in for it.

It would be interesting to see what form this collaboration with Fortnite takes, considering the fact that Mistborn has never really been adapted into a proper TV or movie series. It would largely be an interpretation of what the characters look like since the characters in Mistborn do not really have graphical depictions outside of a few words of character descriptions that one typically gets in books. For example, burning pewter gives the magic-user super strength for a short period of time.
The players can also get the Volcanic Glass Daggers Pickaxe, the Hemalurgic Spikes Back Bling, and a Kelsier-themed Loading screen along with the kelsier skin release. These items can be directly bought from the Fortnite official store. This crossover has been done by the makers of Fortnite, no other information has been revealed yet about it.

Zero-point has been brought into the game after the makers collaborated with DC Comics. A new Deathstrike skin has been recently released by them along with other items in the game. A new cup has also been released in the game. Currently, the players are excited to participate in these events. A specific scoring system for their cup has been made by the makers.
